Lanzarote hotels and camel rides across the volcano park
I was really surprised when I first heard that Lanzarote was known for its camel rides! I suppose when you think about it, though, it makes sense. The Canary Islands are located off the north coast of Africa, opposite Morocco and the Western Sahara, so it is not a huge stretch of the imagination to understand how camels might have come to the islands. It was when searching for Lanzarote hotels that I found out this little gem of information and it has certainly made me even more keen to go.
