On february twenty first this year the united states based combat organisation the ultimate fighting championships are going to arrive down under. This will increase the profile of mma australia and hopefully ensure the sport grows into a main stream one that benefits troubled youths and gives them something other then a life of crime. The concept pits athletes from different styles against each other to prove who is the best. styles in the ultimate fighting championships include boxing, kickboxing, wrestling judo and jiu jitsu. The fights are over three by five minute rounds with championship bouts conducted over five by five minute rounds.
