A Powered Parachute is Twice the Fun

A powered parachute is a parachute with a motor attached to make it move and lift off the ground. It can also be called PPC, motorized parachute or paraplane. Instead of starting from above, jumping off a plane, you start from the bottom flying upward.

Once it has lifted off, its typical speed ranges from 25 to 35 miles per hour. It can glide of the ground from as low as a few feet to as high as 18,000 feet or 5.5 kilometers above ground. The average cost of this toy is about $7500. Depending on the type of PPC, some can be flown without a license or formal flight instruction. This type of parachute is actually considered safer than other forms of skydiving.
