The first technique is called anchoring. When you are talking with somebody, in some general fluff talk before you start to persuade them, pay attention to when they are feeling good, and when they are feeling bad. Every time they talk about something that obviously makes them feel good, hold your right hand out to your side just for a moment.

And every time they say something that seems to make them feel bad, do the same thing with your left hand.

What you’ve done is effectively set two anchors. Now simply hold your right hand out whenever you want them to feel good, and your left hand when you want them to feel bad. It’s that simple.
