When considering where and how to mount your outdoor lighting, you will need to decide the actual mount style you are going to use. There are four primary mount styles to choose from. Post mounts are simply lights mounted from a post, usually in wood or metal. A wall mount is when you mount the light directly to a wall or other surface. Bracket mounts are popular because of the variety they provide and how they can hold the fixture away from the surface. And finally a hanging mount that dangles from the ceiling.
